Upside down ladybird

I would call such effort a hard job. Climbing up a fern stem and performing this upside down is admirable, wouldn't you say? Of course, any flying insect knows how to defy gravity but this knowledge is not going to stop me from respecting these small God's creatures.

When I came across this ladybird, I soon realised that I am not the one in charge there.

If I was ever hoping that she would appear on top of the leaf, I was mistaken. 'Upside down' was the course of the day...

...It was my back that had to bend and my knees that would touch the ground when the ladybird ran gracefully around, preferably upside down, with quite a speed that I found it hard to keep up with her.
In the end, it was all about the battle of wits; which one of us is stronger, more determined, more ingenious. She gave me such a prolong look. I felt that I was being measured from top to bottom with such a persistence...

And then, guess what?...
...Absolutely nothing. The ladybird decided to call it a day. Just like that, she collapsed on the stem, still upside down, and that was it. Such a lady. That's why I call her a 'she'. K-)
